This year i’ve challenged myself to reduce my shelf of shame.
For those that don’t know a shelf of shame is all the board games i own and haven’t got to the table. My challenge is to try and play everything that’s currently on the list on New years day in the next 12 months and unless there’s a good reason why get rid of anything that doesn’t make it to the table.
I’ll also be getting rid of some of these games if i don’t like them or think I’ll play them enough. But, why now? For the first time in a while i’ve a fairly regular group to play games with.
I’m taking this challenge to reduce the games I’ve spent money on and not played seriously so i am forgoing booth Airecon and UK Games Expo this year. As much as I’ll miss attending, seeing all the new games and playing lots of things it would inevitably lead to buying more games and making the below list even longer.
So What games are on my Shelf Of Shame?
There are too many currently to go through each and every one but here are a few i’ve picked out
Lords Of Waterdeep
I’m not sure if there should be a minimum time limit for something to be classed as being on the shelf of shame but for the purposes of this i’m including anything i own and haven’t played. Lords of waterdeep is the latest addition to this list and has only been part of my collection since November as it was a birthday present.
Forbidden Desert
Not mistaking this for forbidden dessert. this one has been on here a while but i have played forbidden island and forbidden sky
Just One was also on this list until boxing day when it finally hit the table
