What is the Shelf of Shame?
It refers to a list or shelf of soemthing that someone collects but hasn’t gotten around to using or playing yet, Common with Board games and Books. It can also be found in other hobbies too such as record collecting.
I use shelf of shame in a light hearted sense and a way to classify the games i own and have not played my copy of yet (Many of these i have played other peoples copies). I thought i would use this blog to curate my list and a way of tracking my progress in reducing my own list. My goal is to reduce this list to 10 or less from the 57 on january 1st 2025). IT’s been as low as 30 and back up to 48 just after UK Games Expo 2026
I am including any game I own and haven’t played regardless of how long i have owned it so anything i buy needs to be played or will end up on here.
I have an aim to reduce this to under 20 by January 1st 2027 and from there to under 10…Including any games i buy.
