So I’m Steve. I’ve been playing games for 40 years, I know, I know I don’t look that old. I’ve played most types of games over the years both Video and tabletop. I currently run two D&D campaigns as Dungeon Master and am about to start running a third. My tabletop collection isn’t massive but it’s ever-evolving and growing when I see a bargain and my Shelf of Shame* comprises almost half of it. I was asked recently, do you have a big board games collection?
The answer depends on your perspective. For most people I have a large collection. I think the average joe would consider more than 10 to be a large collection. for someone who is an avid board gamer, no I don’t. I’ve met people with over a thousand games and rooms full of them.
So what is LetsPlayGames.uk
This blog is my journey with gaming and my quest to reduce my shelf of shame to zero. There’s no chance of that last one unless I stop buying more games. There will be general thoughts on games, reviews, how-to’s, and essentially anything else I feel like writing about.
Most of the content will be Tabletop games related or Adjacent there maybe be some video game posts from time to time.
A Pledge
Everything on this blog that is written by me, or by someone I know personally and trust. It is all based on my own experiences. There may be collections of things I’ve found elsewhere but everything will be credited.
- *Shelf of Shame is a term for games you’ve owned for a while and just not gotten to the table. Avid readers often use the same term for books they’ve not read yet.
