Lythris

Lythris, Veilweaver – Goddess of Secrets, Shadows, and Fate
Domains: Shadows, Secrets, Intrigue
Alignment: Neutral

Lythris governs the unseen and the unknown, patron of spies, scholars, and those navigating hidden paths. Her presence is subtle, in whispered words, a shadow passing unseen, or a coincidence too precise to be random. Politicians, merchants, and adventurers alike invoke her to protect secrets, reveal truths, or manipulate events without detection.

Her temples are shadowed sanctuaries, often disguised or hidden within larger structures. Scrolls, ink, and mirrors are common offerings. Myths describe her weaving the fates of mortals like threads in a loom, though whether she does so for benevolence or amusement is disputed. Some legends credit Lythris with saving entire cities through unseen interventions, while others accuse her of sowing confusion and betrayal.

Lythris’s Lore & Sayings:

  • “The veil is never empty.” — Secret-keepers’ warning.
  • Letters and contracts may be signed with her invocation for protection.
  • Some believe she whispered prophecies to the last High Emperor before the Fall.

Lythris’s Symbol: A black veil twisted into a spiral, sometimes accompanied by a silver thread.
