Throughout Aenthara’s recorded history, mortals have turned to twenty-nine known deities. Beings whose influence shapes the balance of nature, civilisation, and the unseen forces between. Though demigods and local spirits abound, the Twenty-Nine form the recognised High Concord of Divinities.
Worship varies by region, but temples, shrines, and wandering priests dedicated to these gods can be found across the known world. Some are revered openly; others are placated in whispers.
The Major Deities
Vyrathys – The Dragon God of Forge and Fire (Chaotic Neutral)
God of creation through destruction. Patron of smiths, miners, and artisans who seek mastery through challenge. His flames build as easily as they destroy.
Veyrlas – The Tidemother (Neutral Good)
Goddess of Sea, Rain, and Rivers. Her moods mirror the tides — nurturing one moment, merciless the next. She is both life-bringer and floodbearer.
Solma, the Sunmaiden (Lawful Good)
Goddess of Summer, Harvest, and Fertility. Warmth and abundance are her gifts, but her relentless light reminds mortals that prosperity demands toil.
Aelthur, Lord of the Skies (Chaotic Neutral)
God of Winds, Storms, and Freedom. The unbound spirit of the heavens; loved by wanderers, feared by sailors, and honoured atop the highest peaks.
Lythris, the Veilweaver (Neutral)
Goddess of Secrets, Shadows, and Fate. Keeper of veiled truths, she is invoked by spies and scholars alike. To follow her is to seek knowledge that may destroy or save.
Kealros, the Warden of War and Honour (Lawful Neutral)
God of Battle, Strategy, and Loyalty. Where Velastra embodies war’s fury, Kaelros governs its discipline. Soldiers pray to him for courage, not carnage.
Ilyndraa, the Lady of Light and Healing (Lawful Good)
Goddess of Health, Hope, and Protection. Her priests are the bulwark against despair, tending to the sick and shielding the innocent from ruin.
Velashtra, the Blooded Queen (Chaotic Evil)
Goddess of War, Fury, and Triumph. Sister-rival to Kealros, she is the exultation of combat — where glory and ruin are one. Her name is cried by berserkers and warlords before battle.
Ul’Sharoth, the Devouring Maw (Neutral Evil)
God of Hunger, Decay, and Endless Night. The Maw consumes all — flesh, stone, and soul. His followers call destruction purification, believing oblivion is the truest peace.
The Nineteen Lesser Deities
Thraeon, Lord of the Hunt (Neutral)
God of Beasts and Forests. Patron of hunters and rangers, his name is whispered in both reverence and fear when arrows fly true.

Goddess of Music, Inspiration, and Memory. Her songs shape emotion itself, remembered by poets long after their own names are forgotten.
Mortvath, Keeper of Death (Neutral)
God of Passage, Spirits, and the Afterlife. Neither cruel nor kind — merely inevitable. His priests guide souls beyond, and guard the living from restless dead.
Selahrah, Mistress of Commerce (Neutral)
Goddess of Trade, Wealth, and Bargains. The clink of coins and the binding of contracts are her silent hymns.
Ohrvyn, Lord of Stone and Mountain (Lawful Neutral)
God of Earth, Mining, and Stability. As enduring as the stone he embodies, Orvyn blesses patience and punishes pride.

God of Tempest, Sea, and Change. His wrath and release shape coastlines. Worshipped as Veyrlas’s consort or rival, depending on the shore.

Goddess of Learning, Libraries, and Invention. Scholars and inventors seek her quiet approval in the turning of every page.

God of Cunning, Retribution, and Stealth. He represents justice twisted by bitterness, the knife in the dark that rights a wrong too late.

Goddess of Fertility, Animals, and Midwifery. Protectress of life in its rawest forms — from birthing mothers to the hunted doe.

God of Controlled Fire, Craft, and Renewal. His flame tempers the world rather than consumes it, inspiring inventors and smiths alike.
